Suspect in the murder of a local businessman reenacts his crime for police investigation

KOH SAMUI: -- Yesterday (March 19th) police and army officers cordoned off the area in Bophut where a local businessman known as Tak was gunned down on March 6th.

The suspect in the murder then arrived to reenact the crime as part of the police investigation. Police say they have gathered evidence and will prosecute everybody involved in the murder, including big businessman and a former local politician.

Surat Thani police took Mr. Chayut Kaewaram, one of the two shooters accused of shooting Mr. Panas Kaoauthai who was a well-known businessman involved in the Taxi business and real estate in Koh Samui, Surat Thani to death on March 6, 2015, to re-enact the crime. The suspect confessed that the other shooter was Mr. Jarern Srisaeng who is still in hiding.

Pol.Maj.Gen. Apichart Boonsriroat, commander of SuratThani Provincial Police, stated that the police are in the process of gathering the evidences to prosecute 3 suspects Mr.Chalit Boonsa, Mr. Samart Boonsin and Mr.Chanai Suksom, former Samui City Council candidate. It is believed that the motives were conflict of interests about the Taxi business and speedboat problems in Bophut area.

translates roughly into a shift in power structure in the taxi mafia,

boat mafia protection, and their real estate trading interests.

Now with the huge raid this AM a few more of the network will be scooped up

and deals made to hang the leadership out to dry.
