My apologies if I have broght you here under false pretences

The thing is, I need your expertise in twisting the arms of Pattaya bar owners to put a collection box for the Mercy Street Kids project in their establishment.

And who best to persuade them than their most valuable patrons?

I've already put out an appeal on the regular Street Kids' thread and haven't had a single reponse. I have to say its a bit disappointing , considering the hundreds - if not thousands of bars that pervade our lovely city.

OK, I could walk down second road with a swagbag full of boxes and stop at each joint and ask them if they would take one. But frankly, I doubt that I'd get the boxes in the places that would produce many donations, and in any case I'd probably get pissed out of my mind and end up giving them away to aggressive ladyboys.

Would YOUR bar be a good place to put one? Would the owner agree to put it in a prominent postion and exhort his customers to put in a few Baht?

If so, let me know. If you want any background material, I can supply it - but there's plenty of information on the thread. (we hope to have a new website up and running soon).

If you know of a bar - let me know - either on this thread, or by pm. I'll need the name and location of the bar, and a contact name. I will then personally deliver.

BTW, so far we have boxes in The Blues Factory (thanks Dave), Juice, Pattaya Sports Cub, Rosie O'grady's, Lakeside Lodge, and a few others that have not yet been reported to me. But this isn't even skimming the surface - we need to and should do much better.

Give me a bit of time but I have mates who own and run alot of bars here, i'll ask around.

Hard to tell, often at my office at 1st floor in the afternoon, but best to come around 8 or 9 pm!
