Featured Replies

One of his five priorities is to abolish the IRS that should play out well.

Abolishing the IRS, would certainly work for me.

This fool still denies global warming. Last week he was on the east coast and "saw ice & snow everywhere." "Just look out the window........snow and ice.....the scientists obviously got it wrong

I see Cruz has the liberal whack jobs in a tither. But, then you don't care what his platform is.

As will ABC, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, PBS, and CBS will be lapdogs for whatever the Dems put out.

Demagoguery does have its appeal to certain people among those outside the mainstream of society. Most people joke about the IRS even if sometimes someone can joke rather harshly, while others such as 'moonshiners' actually shoot at the 'revenuers' and shoot to do more than scare 'em away.

The logic involved in wanting to abolish the IRS extends to wanting to abolish the Department of the Treasury which houses the IRS, and thereby abolishing the federal government....the union of the states itself, same as the Confederate States of America had sought unsuccessfully to do at a great price to everyone.

And this Texas Tin Man of the squeaky voice under the big hat makes his announcement today at Liberty University, the largest Christian university of the world. He wants to be president of which grouping of states.....the right is invited to refresh me on that one again plse thx....the Christian States of America or some such....?

Actually, I like it....Reminds me of the Republican party in 1964 and Sen Barry Goldwater from next door to Texas, in Arizona. John McCain was another one from down around there, very near to California.

Here in fact is the California governor on Tinny Ted as today's topic....

California Gov. Jerry Brown says U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz' views on climate change make the Texas Republican unfit to run for president.

Brown didn't waste any time in labeling Cruz' comment as false and countering that 90 percent of the scientists who study climate change believe it is real, human-caused and producing extreme weather of all kinds.

Cruz "betokens such a level of ignorance and a direct falsification of existing scientific data, it's shocking, and I think that man has rendered himself absolutely unfit to be running for office," he said.

I wish Jerry Brown was younger now.

He would have made a great president.

He did. Remember how nutty he was?

I put a certain select few posters on Ignore.

Congrats.

The latest RealClearPolitics average of all polls has HRC at 50.3% and Ted Cruz at 39.0%.

The last Republican for prez to get less than 40% of the vote was Herbert Hoover who fiddled while the Great Depression crashed down on the country and spread each day during his time in office.

Either a Democrat or a Republican for prez can count on a base vote of between 44 to 47 percent of the popular vote to build on to win. The Independents fill in the rest of the vote to determine the winner.

Ted Cruz doesn't even have that. Worse, Cruz doesn't even have 40%. Good thing then for the R party that around this time next year Ted will be both back in the Senate and out of the race for prez. Good news for the bad guys biggrin.png

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz’s newly minted presidential campaign is the media equivalent of a juicy rib-eye that robbers use to distract a guard dog during a heist. He’ll get a ton of media attention, and he’ll get to spread his message — which may be all that Cruz is after — but Cruz almost certainly has no shot of winning the nomination, according to every indicator that predicts success in presidential primaries.

N.B. The post in made, in part, in the interest of keeping the right sector posters busy enforcing their absolute determination to have the last say to each post at each and every thread.

The horror! The horror!

I like Ted Cruz. He's a stand-up guy. A little too far right for me though.

"Demagoguery"?? I think not. The IRS is so corrupt it is beyond fixing. Instead of having a bloated bureaucracy that runs amok ruining peoples lives, it is time for meaningful tax reform based on a flat tax.

As far as what Governor Jerry (Moonbeam) Brown has to say, it is shocking people elected this fool.

Senator Cruz, if elected as president, would bring back respect and leadership to the White House. It should be obvious to most sane people by now, the liberal, socialistic experiment of voting Obama into office, went terribly wrong, and needs to be fixed. Your posts tend to border on disturbing.

Ted Cruz would bring back respect and leadership?

The only thing he would bring back are the comedy show ratings. I do hope he wins.
