I have not, but I had carpal tunnel release here, as did my sister, from an excellent hand surgeon who also operated on her trigger finger.

I highly recommend him - Dr. Panupan, at Phyathai 2 and 3 hospitals and also at Siriraj

who is saying you need one, I've never had a pt that had one, it would seem unusual, what are your symptoms? or DID you mean 'carpal'

I think he meant what he said, cubital. Cubital tunnel syndrome results from entrapment of the ulnar nerve at the elbow.

The symptoms are quite distinct. Carpal tunnel syndrome, which is due to compression of the median nerve at the wrist, produces tingling/numbness in the thumb, index and middle fingers, but never the pinky. Cubital tunnel syndrome causes numbness and tingling in the pinky and ring finger. it will usually worsen when the elbow is bent.

Keeping the elbow straight during sleep using a brace of some sort may help, as may anti-nflammatories. but some times surgical release is necessary.
