Global summit in Bangkok on chemicals used in illegal drugs

BANGKOK: -- JUSTICE Minister General Paiboon Koomchaya presided over the opening of an international conference in Bangkok Tuesday to deal with global trade in some 400 chemicals that could be used to produce illegal narcotics.

The "Precursor Chemicals and New Psychoactive Substances" meeting at the United Nations Conference Centre, attended by 180 delegates from 40 countries, is reportedly the first world meeting of its kind.
