Need A Good Strong, Rain Proof Post Box

I suppose they are available all over Pattaya, but I haven't seen them.

The post box on my front entrance is totally pathetic. The slit is too narrow to put even the flimsiest envelopes in, and what does go in (mainly bills) sinks to the bottom, out of site until they are overdue. and to top it all the bloody thing leaks like a sieve - invariably obliterating the bills, making it difficult to pay them.

yesterday evening my power was nearly cut off as the bill had been sitting in my post box for 2 weeks, unnoticed. The kind man has given us until 10.30 this morning to pay it. Wifey's on her way. :o

So, kind residents - any ideas where they sell decent sized, rain proof post boxes?

Thanks :D

True Value on Sukhumvit, opposite Lotus, seems to have a fairly good selection of mail boxes. You might also try the new Home Works, beside Big C. They have a pretty good stock of most everything.

Carrefour have one piece moulded (sp?) plastic post boxes.........12"L x 10" H x 6" D, they have a slit to put letters in and a clear plastic pull down flap to retrieve mail.........lockable and available in blue and red...........cost 169 baht (just bought one this a.m :o )

Width of the slit might still be a problem...........you could always leave the flap unlocked i suppose.
