I imported already a phone from a Chinese webshop into Thailand. There was no duty and no tax. Most companies can issue a invoice for import purpose with a value regarding your wishes.

I have a Lenovo S60 ordered Alibaba online and sent by EMS sent here was to give me a list of the mail that I should pick up the package when importing duty there I was told that I first a License from the Telecomunicaton of Thailand need to the Mobile telephone to use it , I was not handed over , I explained in the this model but already on sale here in Thailand , and I ordered it only to a lower price in China if I had it imported Personally, I would have no problem he said still

Why did you buy it with EMS?

EMS = Almost guaranteed taxation, based on their opinion (not based on how much $ is declared on package).

But he was told that he needed an import licence due to it not having the Telecommunications of Thailand stickers for legally imported phones.

today i send the 1164 Customs Call Center any Mail and get this Answer!!

According to your question, please be informed that usually kind of this product was controlled the permission by The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commissoin at Tel:0-2271-0151-60, Call Center: 1200 (Press 2).

And you also ask the permission with Thai Industrail Standard Institute at Tel:66(0) 2202 3300-4, callcenter: 66(0) 2793 9300 or e-mail : [email protected] .

So, whoever would like to import this item to Thailand, first of all they must ask the permision with them before importing.

Always received via registered airmail.

Never paid duty except one or two times.

I hope that's for resale or I feel really sorry for you.... I lost about 3 expensive phones within a year .... It hurts..... For awhile

2 phones import ex china both times 300 baht import duty no other customs issues.
