Yesterday, Step Daughter turned up in mothers old (had it from new) 1995 Mazda Lantis. The bearing on one of the cooling fans was 'worn' ... big wonder that it hadn't gone into the radiator! it still rotates but in a somewhat orbital manner.

We live not far from CW Immigration ... options are

1 .. a new one from Mazda ... silly price

2 .. a 2nd hand one

3 .. a copy part

4 .. get new bearings fitted

anyone any idea where I could get 2,3 or 4 from around our area.

thanks

Find a local "Air" shop (where they repair and fill up aircon systems).

They normally also have fan engines. On most cars the engines are more or less the same.

Price about 1,500 Baht.

Perfect; and he can probably also do alternator and starter if (when) you need it..

It's good to know those shops.

Please no more bills, starter motor already changed! Actually I get step-daughter to contribute ... since the top end was done it does sound quite

Actually this guy seems to do everything ... he installed the LPG system a few years ago. Changed the struts/shocks and rack a while back ... he's ok except the paint work comes back with 'a few' grease smears!

He is in the North Park area if anyone needs a reliable guy ... he always seems busy and the jobs that he has done have all seemed ok. As it's been in the family since new they want to keep it ... it does look ok for 20 years old
