Accident Man Dies After Truck Slams into Another and Causes Multi-Vehicle Crash in Prachuap Khiri Kha

A 24-year-old man has died following a road crash in Kui Buri district, Prachuap Khiri Khan, after the truck he was driving crashed at high speed into the back of a ten-wheeled truck, triggering a chain reaction that damaged two more vehicles at a red light. The incident occurred on the northbound side of Phetkasem Road at the Kui Buri intersection around 21:30 on 2 May. Pol Sub-Lt Buncha Sukkorong of Kui Buri Police Station responded to the scene, accompanied by emergency personnel from Wat Kui Buri Rescue Foundation and paramedics from Kui Buri Hospital. At the scene, a ten-wheeled Hino lorry (registration from Bangkok) was found with damage to its rear bumper, which had been pushed inward by the impact. The driver suffered only minor injuries. Behind the lorry was a black Suzuki sedan (registration from Bangkok), its rear end crumpled from the collision. Fortunately, there were no injuries in this vehicle. To the left, on the roadside, a bronze Nissan pickup truck (registration from Phetchaburi) was found with rear-end damage. It had been carrying a load of miscellaneous goods. Two passengers inside the pickup sustained minor injuries. Further back, the most severe damage was observed on a six-wheeled truck, which had a second truck loaded on its rear platform. The front end of the truck was crushed, and the driver, later identified as Mr Prasit, 24, from Thung Song district in Nakhon Si Thammarat province, was found trapped in the wreckage, crying out in pain. Rescue teams had to use hydraulic cutters to free Mr Prasit from the mangled cab. His left ankle had been crushed and severed due to the impact. Despite emergency treatment and rapid transport to Kui Buri Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries due to massive blood loss. Eyewitnesses stated that the Suzuki sedan and the Nissan pickup were stopped side by side at the red light, with the ten-wheeled lorry behind them. Mr Prasit’s truck, reportedly travelling at high speed, slammed into the lorry, causing it to lurch forward and crash into the two smaller vehicles before coming to rest against the central divider. The truck remained stationary at the point of impact, with the driver fatally trapped inside. Community Sister’s Horror Discovery: Slept Beside Dead Sibling for Two Days Without Knowing
Picture courtesy of Khaosod. A woman has been left deeply traumatised after discovering she had unknowingly shared a bed for two nights with the body of her deceased sister. The incident took place in a single-storey house in Moo 3, Bang Samak subdistrict, Bang Pakong district, Chachoengsao province. At approximately 19:30 on 2 May, police were alerted to the presence of a deceased individual inside the home. Responding to the call, Pol. Sub Lt. Noppadon Taweechart of Bang Pakong Police Station and rescue workers from Chachoengsao Rescue Unit found the body of a 56-year-old woman, identified only as Ms. Chiraporn. She was discovered lying face-up on the bed, wearing only underwear. Her body had begun to emit a foul odour, and authorities estimate she had been dead for about two days. There were no visible signs of injury or signs of a struggle in the room. Ms. Bualoy, 59, the elder sister of the deceased, explained that her sibling was disabled and they live together in the house. Ms. Bualoy, who works full-time, would usually return home in the evenings and share dinner with her sister. The last conversation they had was on Wednesday. On Thursday evening, she saw her sister lying in bed and assumed she was asleep, so did not wake her for dinner. The following morning, she left for work again without disturbing her. It was not until she returned home on Friday evening and noticed a strong smell that she turned on the lights and was horrified to discover her sister had passed away. She immediately contacted the authorities. Police conducted a preliminary examination and recorded the scene as evidence. The body has since been sent to the Police General Hospital in Bangkok for autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
