What clubs or other social groups are you a part of?

Featured Replies

I'm moving to Pattaya soon and I'm looking for things to keep me busy. What clubs or other social groups have you been a part of in Pattaya that you could recommend?

You could try the bars, the biggest social club in Pattaya.

I went round bars with a Pool team & asked to sign up. Eventually I played in Monday/Thursday leagues for a couple of bars locally. As your circle of friends grows you meet others with similar interests thus I acquired a regular squash partner. There are about 8 bars who have Quiz teams on Mon/Wed; some would welcome you if you had a specialism like US Presidents or Shakespeare or the Bible.

There are bars with darts teams too.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Pattaya city expat club and the Pattaya expat club.

They both have web sites, each has meeting every Sunday and large memberships.

I'd suggest you try each to see which is a best fit for you.

I joined Pattaya Sports Club, the first month after I purchased a condo here. I got a five year membership for six years. It's a great value if you play golf,I haven't played but one round . Those who do can purchase vouchers for more than 50% off what any person would typical pays this time of year. Another benefit is that I received four all week pass for the Asian PGA golf tournament free the first month.

I also joined Pattaya Expat club,as that is a onetime fee. Lifetime membership and those meeting that the guest speaker interest me I will attend. I have went to the Pattaya City Expat Club meetings, you do not have to be a member to attend, just pay for your breakfast or Coffee and juice. They too have many good features and member benefits.

I havnt joined but I do go to take in the atmosphere, its called the young ladies pole dancing club, there are a few branches situated around Pattaya

There is the thoroughly unofficial Pattaya chess club which meets right in front of Central Festival Beach Road side every afternoon after 3pm.

If you are into squash then there is a group who play Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at Ambassador - officially start 5pm but often people there a bit earlier. If you are not a member costs only 80 baht per visit.
