PHUKET: -- Shoppers in Patong might have witnessed the quiet arrest of a man wanted for accomplice to murder as undercover officers served a warrant at the Jungceylon shopping mall (June 8).

With the help of undercover police, officers led by Lt Suthichai Tienpo moved in and presented Phurksa Kaewjeen, 30, with a warrant for his arrest while he was browsing through Sports World.

The warrant was issued by the Thung Song Court, in Phurksa’s home province of Nakorn Sri Thammarat, in July 2007, explained Lt Suthichai.

“He was wanted for being an accomplice to murder in Thung Yai District in April 2007,” Lt Suthichai said.

“He was also wanted for illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition and carrying a firearm and ammunition in public without a permit.”

Phurksa was taken into custody and escorted to Kathu police station before being handed over to police from Thung Song to face the charges against him.

Not to be facetious... but not the BiB, but an undercover unit... however, question still stands, but will probably never be answered, however these are perhaps not your usual useless BiB's, they look a bit more wired in and turned on...

I wonder if this publicity will end their undercover careers.

So, here's a guy, casually reading his own arrest warrant, in the middle of a shopping mall, with not the youngest and fittest arresting officers, all whilst a journalist is there to take a photo.

I'm sure he was arrested at the first available opportunity. biggrin.png
