Vietnam visa-free entry for UK passport. Recent experiences?

Featured Replies

I find I will be travelling to HCMC on a somewhat regular basis (for business as a consultant engineer).

Anyone done the visa-exempt entry on a UK passport?

Apart from the 15 day time limit (which I will never get near) are there any restrictions on how often one can travel?

Any and all information welcomed.

Yes, a couple of days ago. No problem, just asked to see my return ticket to show I was going to be here less than 15 days. They've done away with landing cards too, so it was all rather quick and painless. I flew in with Air Asia and was worried they'd still be looking for my visa before checking me in, but there were no problems at check-in.

As for repeat visits of less than 15 days, I believe you need to be out of Vietnam for at least 30 days before returning on visa waiver.

Thanks Stocky, sounds handy for the occasional short notice visit (invariably some crisis comes up over a weekend).

Anyone confirm the '30 days out' rule, that may or may not affect me.
