No, you can't.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

i have ...money...just not 20k...

So then you would be in Laos, with a new passport. Then what?

In my view, you need to decide in which country, Thailand or Laos, you would prefer to be caught, "having financial problems...no end in sight...", and spend some time in an immigration detention centre until you can arrange for a ticket home and payment of overstay fine prior to deportation.

That's asking for more trouble!!

Can I hear your solution for less problem? I'm all ears...

Tell the truth. Call your mother for the 20K. Report yourself pay up and suck it up.

Just curious. What are you going to do with less as 20k baht in Laos or Cambodia?

Only why out is buying a ticket to home, probably about 20k baht and pay the overstay fine, another 20 baht. If you don't have it you are screwed.

So after at least two years in Thailand you suddenly find this site when you're in trouble. Odd, to say the least. Or maybe you're not logging in under your usual account.

Fess up Togabogo or whoever you are today. You're in some kind of legal trouble and that's why you're trying to slip over the border. That's the truth isn't it?

Suggestions involving fraudulent activities removed.

If you have no friends or family to help with your ticket home and the fine, and your money runs out, the only thing you can do is turn yourself in at the immigration. Not recommendable, but there is just no other way if you don`t want to end up on the streets in Thailand with no money. That is not a pleasant ride.

Turn yourself in, and you will have a stay at IDC in Bangkok until you can provide the funds for the ticket home. The conditions are bad, but at least you will have food for a while there, and your embassy will help you contact your family or friends.

That is often the time when people back home actually help, when they get a call from the embassy in Thailand.

But be sure you have at least 3000 bath in your pocket when you arrive at the immigration, to pay the court fine and avoid staying two additional weeks in a thai prison a short hour away from the IDC. Conditions are bad at IDC, but even worse there.

??? OP said he has not enough money, not any money at all. Even if he didn't had any, it would not be smart to turn oneself in unless ready to pay at least the reduced fine from a judge and a ticket home. Is not like Immigration welcomes people that turn themselves in or make things any easier for them.

Many countries provide emergency loans to citizens in distress, even if is a difficult process. OP should contact his embassy about that.

Of course I agree with you, but this seems for me like a cry for help, and a last resort.

He must try all other solutions first, and get a loan anywhere, but not all are able to get the help they need.

Then a stay at the IDC actually can end up with someone contacted by the embassy helping him through.

But this must be his last resort.

Actually, this is not right. Most embassies don`t help with either loan or money, but will help contacting people back home.

This goes for all the Scandinavian embassies, the German and English embassy, to mention some countries.

The American embassy will provide a loan, as one exception, that I know.

My country also does but not easily.

Okey, but I think very few will end up doing it. No help were offered any of the people I stayed with at IDC, except the Americans.

The OP`s money will eventually run out, and I just thought he should be prepared if his options are all out.

Another option is to find some work, until he has enough money to take care of all of it himself. His biggest concern isn`t exactly not having a work permit.

Since the OP of this topic was suggesting illegal activity and further discussion has occurred this topic is closed.

To the OP when you have found a legal solution to your problem and want more info you can post a new topic about it.
