Where to go for - Car electrics

Featured Replies

Hi, I can't start my car, I think the car remote and electrics has gone bust. Can anyone recommend an electrics shop to go to today? Its Sunday, but its urgent as I need to use the car for work tomorrow.

Without knowing the exact problem but if the remote isnt working and the car wont start, methinks the battery is dead. Well that would be my start of a process of elimination.

We may also need to know what area you are living in..... ProAuto on the road to Hang Dong appear to have a good reputation. Google is your friend. Pro Auto may even come to you with a new battery and fit it.

Give them a try wai.gif

Thanks folks, don't think its the battery or the remote battery, as these have been changed recently. Husband reckons something has shortwired somewhere in the remote/alarm system? and for security purposes it won't let you start the engine.

Darn that sounds expensive..... Ive never heard of a remote/alarm system shorting before but there you go. Sorry but I dont know of any auto electricians. Was this system a factory fitted system or installed later. if later then Id be inclined to contact the people who installed it.

id still check the car battery to insure you have at least 12 volts. Not to sure where to go after that.wai.gif

A low battery can trigger the symptoms.. ..

But Anuay might be your best bet for the trouble shooting part.....

I am constantly surprised by the electrical teardowns I have seen there.....

They don't close Sundays.

Amnuay 1 is located along Charoen Muang Road

Amnuay 2 is located along the super highway opposite Bangkok Hospital.

I don't know what WTK's photo is, but it isn't Amnuay.
