Question about seasoning of a Thai account for extension of stay by Chiang Mai Immigration

Featured Replies

Hello,

Does Chiang Mai Immigration require that a Thai bank account, used for a 800K baht combination with income, be seasoned for an extension of stay re an O-A visa?

Lastly, my O-A visa was issued in 2013, the "enter by" was Nov 2014, I entered Thailand in Sept 22, 2014 and have lived here since, and my 90 Day Notices were proper. Will I be able to extend my stay within 30 days before Sept 22nd of this year?

Thanks in advance, Rick G

Rick, you asked these same questions in the Visa forum. Ubonjoe, the well-respected visa guru gave you the correct answer, as did several others.

I can give him different answers but they would be wrong. Might as well stick with the expert answers. I have one question in regards to the 90day. Does it not operate on a 90 day based on your last reentry card?

For instance mine is up on Sept. 28 I will be leaving the country and returning on September 1 Is my 90 day not due until 90 days later? Some time in late November.

That is irregardless of the fact that my yearly is due in early October.

Your 90 days starts from the day you arrive back in the country, 1st September.
