I'm sitting in paris just now, so not feasible. Back in thailand next month but would like to fix up something from here with the convenience of my 18 meg internet connexion and a phone. If someone could provide the email and/or phone no of such an office of hillside it would be a huge help - but I can't get it. (must be stupid, but i really can't.)

Viangbua have said they're full up right through to year end. If someone can suggest any other possibility of an apartment for a one month rental - with internet - in the 20000 to 25000 baht I'd be equally grateful.

I'm a owner of Hillside 4 room with Mountain view Fl. 9 and Fl.12. each studio room in the middle of building, room area 45 sq.m., 1 A/C, 1 TV., 1 fridge, 1 microwave, water heater, telephone line, kitchen area, security guard 24 hours, key card, restuarant, swimming pool, Suthep view. 6 monthes/1 yr contract would be more prefer. If you require only a one month rental, I can offer at 24,000.

24,000 baht for one month 45 sqm is a total ripoff. There are a number of 45 sgm units for rent in the 10,000 to 12,000 range. Even the overpriced people in the lobby will rent for 14,000 short term. For 24,000 you can get the most delux ~200 sqm units when they are available. I know of an american here who rented the large unit for 15,000 baht... 1 year contract.

for a 45 sqm unit without a lot of modifications then they tend to ask about 1.2 to 1.5 mil bt

For a 45sqm condo with refurbished bathroom and good position and view you shoud pay about 14K a month. Ones on lower floors and with a poor outlook may be nearer 10k per month.

No need to pay anything like 24k!!

To buy they are about 1.5 Million.

Worth noting that Hillside 4 condos are wireless enabled.

The reason for 24 K/month is the clint require just 1 month rent. The reasonable premium is for losing oppotunity in the high season and as everyone know that Nov-Jan, chiangmai has the international expo "ROYAL FLORA RATCHAPHRUEK 2006" : International Horticultural Exposition for His Majesty the King. All the good view hotel and condo here are all reserved. I have to clarified that no one have an idea to rip-off in perfect information market. If clint require 1 yr contract, certainly the rent should be only 12K baht/month for 45sqm condo with fully furnished at the best position and view. A 100% mark up for a monthly lease (as opposed a yearly one) is indeed interesting. Also, please remember the above is a response not just to my post. Let me know if you get THB 24k for a 1 month rent.

Being due to leave for Thailand on the 5th I had set a deadline to fix up accommodation a few days before that - and did so at Flora (2 bedroom apartment of some 100 sq m with adsl connexion at 14000 for the month, or longer if I wish).

I wouldn't have agreed to the 24000 for the 45 sq m. at hillside 4.

I chose flora on the strength of just one post (favourable) that I found, and that of many months ago, and with no photos etc. So a bit of a blind thing. All will be revealed tomorrow when I arrive.
