PATTAYA: -- A press conference was held at Banglamung Police Station on Tuesday to announce the arrest of three people in connection with the theft and sale of a car.

The complainant, who did not want to be named, reported the theft of his car to Banglamung Police on 1st August and claimed the thief was a woman he had met, some hours earlier on a Chat Application called “B Talk” which was installed on his computer.

He agreed to meet Khun Wunlapa aged 30 at a Motel in North Pattaya where the pair became intimate. The owner of the car fell asleep after love-making and it is alleged that Khun Wunlapa decided to seize the opportunity and steal his car.

She was arrested by Police and claimed she had handed the stolen vehicle to a friend, Khun Saranpat aged 27, who in-turn sold the vehicle to Khun Prasertsuk aged 29 for 80,000 Baht.

The money was split between Khun Wunlapa and Khun Saranpat, with the female suspect receiving 50,000 Baht and the male suspect receiving 30,000 Baht. Both Khun Saranpat and the suspect who purchased the stolen vehicle were arrested following undercover operations conducted in North Pattaya and in Bangkok. The stolen vehicle was recovered and has been returned to the victim.

will the 80,000 be returned, the buyer appears to be classed as a suspect, does this mean he knew it was nicked. no picture of the car?

I think that if I'd been intimate with the woman in the line-up, I'd be begging the police not to reveal my identity!!

Here we have a line up of the arrested "suspects" (not yet proven in a court of law), trying best not to revel their identity.

Would it not be better when they are convicted for the police or courts to release a simple statement of the crime, the punishment and official mug shots to the media.

Keep awake and have an eye on your car keys tongue.png
