Phone calls to UK/Phone cards?

Featured Replies

Looking for the cheapest option to make phone calls to landlines in the UK, not using Computers , Skype etc? Do any of the mobile networks have special rate but I would prefer to get a paid phone card with a number to call before the destination number.

i buy a CAT international phone card 300bht.for over 3hrs.of calls.

You're calling from a mobile here? Which provider?

004 DTAC, 005 AIS, 006 TrueMove H, 009 CAT and 008 TOT all offer reduced rates.

There may be calling cards which offer decent rates; the CAT PhoneNet card is 2 baht/min to U.K fixed lines, and you get free local access (so no extra charges on your mobile). There are a lot of pre-paid calling cards here so shop around for a potentially better rate.

TrueMove H have their 00600 service which shows as 1 baht/min. to U.K. fixed lines, but not usre if you can use that unless you have that specific SIM, or maybe if you port in from another provider (assuming it hasn't been 'grand-fathered').

I like CAT Phonenet - easy to buy online

Go to a 7/11 and ask for an international phone card 300 baht calls to a UK landlines 280 hours, enter the number in contacts on your phone then you just have to tap in the uk number you want to call.

Sorry should have said minutes not hours. The card name is thookdee

It was still working earlier this year. It was more like 1 baht plus Vat and then some !! If you work on 1.5 Baht you cant go wrong. Considering we were paying 70 Baht from Travel Agents 20-25 Years ago not a bad deal !!
