it is absolutley unbelievable to find on most days that by lunchtime there is no water at all, regardless if you have a tank, and whilst this can be filled up with a fowl smelling water, where is all the lovely water from our dam. I live in jomtien, and yesterday it went off completely off about lunchtime and at six oclock this morning it has still not come on and I dont me a dribble I mean no water at all. I tried to ring the water board, but all thai thai thai, and then cuts off, I have been up to see them on several occasions and sat and waited and waited, it is like drawing teeth, and they dont see to know what they are doing. Does any one out there know of who you can contact at the water board and get action. thanks

I live on Pratamnak Hill. A typical day is usually without mains water except in the middle of the night.

A bad day, of which there have been many, is that we do not get any mains water. There are also good days when we get supply throughout the day.

I have given up worrying too much bout it. I have an enormous tank in the back yard. I still have to pay a couple of hudred baht to get it refilled a few times

Sad but true. Pattaya's infrastructure is crumbling and all the repairs and upgrades seem to be dogged by problems. I wonder if the graft investigation will stretch to Pattaya City Hall !

1100 hours and it's still off in Jomtien, must be a major pipe down somewhere.

I seem to remember being told that water in Jomtien is not on the same feed as Pattaya and that it comes from one of the dams south of here. Anybody know for sure at all?
