The gated community I live in (in Rayong) will get TOT fiber in Oct/Nov this year. I haven't been able to figure out what kind of speeds they offer, and the local TOT staff are very unhelpful. They won't even quote prices before the installation has been finished. I can get CAT fiber as well, but I would have to pay a largish sum upfront, whereas the community pays for TOT installation.

What are TOT fiber speeds and prices generally like? For consumers, not businesses.

Here you go http://www.tot.co.th/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=1337:fiber_2u_new_inspire&Itemid=252〈=th

All in Thai I'm afraid, the 'EN' button / tag does nothing (are we surprised).

Hmmm. Thanks :) What's the difference between the "blue" prices and the "orange" prices...?

I suppose I can't expect much of a performance hike to Europe or Australia (Skype etc.) if I switch from my current TOT ADSL to TOT Fiber? Only faster inside Thailand, innit...

Cat fiber would be faster but does it justify paying install costs? Depends on your love for the tech / internet.

You'll get higher upload speeds, so it should help with Skype.

Blue table is slower upload speed, but with TOT IPTV Service.

Orange table is just internet, no free IPTV.

If TOT Fiber is free to install, my opinion, give it a try for a few months first before spend money on CAT.

Makes sense. I had CAT when I lived in another gated community nearby, and while it was reasonably fast (20/5 within Thailand), it wasn't particularly stable. I suspect this was down to local inane implementation (within the community - they had lots of problems), not CAT. 25/10 for a grand (does that include VAT?) a month sounds very reasonable, I paid 1,450 for 20/5 with CAT.

The higher prices in blue include an IPTV offering.

I don't know the details/channel list.

Some posters said that there is a selection of English language channels included.

For me of no interest. Have a subscription for an IPTV service in German.

English speakers will probably look for ExpatTV and/or 365 sports TV.

As muratremix and KunBENQ have stated, the 'blue' section is the "New Inspire" fiber 2U + iptv package. It Includes an HD-capable IPTV box bundled with the Free Choice package channel lineup to connect to your TV (just as you would a Cable or Sat tuner box).

current TOT iptv channel lineup

There are many other options available for IPTV / Internet Streaming, certainly more that might be of interest to a non-Thai speaker. I believe most people would be better off subscribing to the higher-speed 'orange' section offering, then getting their own IPTV solution it that's what they're after.
