True 10Gbit Internet

Anybody got this? Lol. I wonder how much is it?

Normally you can get 10G metro ethernet connections if you need.

However I doubt anybody will be happy to pay atleast 100K baht / month for residential 10Gbit service. Not to mention other costs like professional grade router, 10Gbit pcie-e ethernet cards for desktop pcs.

Also, docsis 3.1 can provide 10Gbit / 2gbit on short distance. I wonder if they'll use docsis 3.1 or fiber to the home.

I could see this being useful for hotels / apartment buildings but it seems pretty wasteful for home usage.

I imagine this will be a direct fibre connection, some people have reported fibre directly into the router on much slower residential connections.

It would be great for a condo project with 1000+ units

Total and complete waste at someone's house lol

Download a bluray movie torrent as fast as you can type in the name of it sounds cool though... Pity its only as fast as the slowest bottleneck

Whose got a hdd that could even write data anywhere near 10GB/s?, do they exist?

Amen brother regarding "only as fast as the slowest bottleneck." Why have a 10Gb internet plan if the internet servers you are connecting to can't even approach serving out data that fast...or the ISPs international gateway continues to throttle international bandwidth...etc....etc....etc. It's like having a million dollar race car which you can only drive in a 25KmH school zone.
