Apparently, they climbed up the waterfall in order to take better pictures, but inadvertently fell.

Tragic story. Rocks around waterfalls are always slippery, and there is rarely anything to grab hold of to prevent a fall. Condolences to the families.

Always best to wear non slip shoes when hiking up there or any of the waterfalls around the island .... some areas are not an easy climb and can be very slippery ...
