Safeguarding a Rental Deposit

Featured Replies

You lot are a very paranoid bunch. There was a thread on here a while back that asked if renters had got their deposits back in full, part or not at all. Everyone, except one said they got their deposit back in full. The one other person had some money deducted for damage that he said was his fault and was fair. So what are you all so paranoid about?

Pfft ...40K deposit amortized over a 8 year lease is about 100 baht per week. Relax and enjoy the next decade in you apartment.

The amount of normal wear and tear that occurs over eight years in a rental unit is tremendous. Has the unit been repainted in this period? Most tenants don't want to be bothered unless something is actually broken or leaking.
