Email providers.

Featured Replies

Any one know of a good email provider that is not Google or MSN, the old hotmail new outlook?

Looked around there's a few any recommendations would be good.

I'm tired of getting my emails locked when I travel with no access to my phone number to verify I'm locked out until I return, any tips on keeping them open would be appreciated as well.

I even created a new hotmail address prior to leaving, left my iPhone with my sister to check my work gmail and we're communicating in that new email...I'm rather pissed off...maybe I've missed something hope someone can enlighten me.

Are you saying you can not access Gmail when traveling? I use various VPN and have never had any issue with access to Gmail. Or having it retrieve messages from Hotmail and others.

Yep, and it's because sister access my emails in Melbourne as I do when traveling, I have 3 email accounts 2 gmail which one is work related and an Msn, they all get locked sooner or later so before leaving I created a new account just for traveling and communicate through that one, 2 weeks later msn lock this new account, I need to add a sent pin to my phone which is with my sister in Melbourne and enter the pin to get back in...

It's not the end of the world but very frustrating, this is the third time when traveling I've had my emails locked.

Normal I take my phone with me and swap sims but due to the state of current job last 2 times left phone with sister to access these work emails.

Anyway I don't like gmail and would like to ditch it at least the private one, the only reason I keep my work one in gmail is you can put your signature on it.

Set up your email account that your sister accesses to automatically forward every email to her in another account. She can then reply to it (hitting reply all, so you get a copy) without her having to log in to your account. Another way is to "grant access" to your account in gmail from another account. https://support.google.com/mail/answer/138350?hl=en

That may possibly solve your lock out problems.

Why not setup your own website/domain?

Most provide an email account which you can personalize to your domain name.

I'm not going to recommend any, (there are a lot of them out there) but for around $25 a year, you can control your own emails, forward to your gmail accounts if you wish,

Again, if you are using gmail for business, think about setting your new domain up aimed at that business......................wink.png
