I've tried this motioneyes software on my Raspberry PI  Model B  and it works quite well  detected and captures video from both of my USB web cams..one of which is very old  auto magically  no interaction from me   has a nice web based control panel  can be setup to use IP cameras ( haven't got one to try though ) record to SDcard,  "the cloud"  or a NAS server   stream  video to  where ever   can email you when motion is detected etc etc...  could be setup Via Pi  I/O connectors to turn on lights or sound an alarm on motion detection..

I bought a complete camera system. All the components are D-Link.  The whole system stinks and the software is complicated. Apparently I'm not smart enough to get the system working properly. I will never buy anything from D-Link again.
