I've been offered a teaching post in Bangkok and would like to apply for a visa which allows me to stay for more than 30 days at a time, preferably upto one year.

Could anyone tell me which type of visa to apply for and where to apply in the U.K. I've been told to ask for a non-immigrant B visa, but not sure if this is correct.

Many thanks,

Migs
