thai visa complication

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

So I was previously in Thailand for 9 days, I'm in Japan now and am staying here for 2 weeks, and then i'm going to Hong Kong for a week.

Would I be able to fly back into Thailand and acquire a 30 day free visa again? I'm from the UK

Thanks,
Harry

You cannot get a "free visa"

You may qualify for a "visa exempt entry"

Yes you can.

Wot he said - but post number 2 is also correct in that you will receive a visa exempt entry for 30 days rather than a "visa".

would i be able to extend the 30 day visa for another 30 days? or would this be considered as my extra 30 days?

Yes you can extend these 30 days you got, by another 30 days at a cost of 1.900 baht

  • Yep
  • No. It's a new entry. All past entries are irrelevant.

Every visa exempt entry you do can be extended by 30 days at immigration for 1,900 baht.
