Hi,

I'm about to buy a new CBR, and wonder if anyone has any experience with buying such a bike from either of the 2 Honda shops in Hua Hin central (or any of the others, e.g. on the bend near the two 7-11's around soi 88). I was intending to go to the main Honda opposite the Suzuki garage, though there's also the other Honda near the second set of lights.

Any TV members got any good experiences / bad buying from either?

I know which Honda you mean, but are you seriously saying that the Honda branded shop at the main lights, which only sells Honda bikes, has staff with Honda shirts, is lying??? Honda Thailand would not allow another company to get away with this. I bought a PCX there and everything says Honda. Where is your proof that this is a so-called "fake" Honda dealer? I would suggest you are talking nonsense! :-) why doesn't someone report them??????? Perhaps because they are a Honda dealer??

Honda have a tier system for dealers (as far as I'm aware) you have main dealers that buy directly from Honda these tend to be called Wing centres, then you have Honda authorised shops these buy from Honda distributors (very often the Wing centres) then you have the smaller unofficial dealer who buy from anywhere there is stock available (other dealers, Wing etc).

But I may be wrong, that how it was told to me a few years ago.

yes there is only one Honda "Wing" Center in HH. The one I pointed out in my first response to this thread.

thank you for this info. i was a little harsh in my assessment of the other scooter shops.

i don't speak Thai, so for me, going to the Wing Center makes sense for me, because who knows what you are dealing with all over town. so far no problems at the Wing Center.
