Hi Guys ( and Girls ), just wondered if you could maybe help me with a couple of questions i have and i didn't want to disrupt the pinned CHT thread so thought this would be the best option to post.

I'm moving back to TH in November after a few years away and before i left, True had all the Prem rights and showed every game but it seems things have changed.

I'm aware the CHT now carry the rights and am just after some answers to the following questions if possible as i work within the game and need Live games from different leagues, and as many as possible.

What would be my package options and would i need different packages from different providers for live games from the Prem ( all games ), La Liga, Serie A, Dutch Eredivisie, J-League, Scottish, Mexican ( it's a great league, honest ), MLS ( soon to finish season i know ) and any other leagues really an where is the best places to look at the TV schedules for the coming weeks ?

If i remember, True also carried the Russian league at times but i don't know if they still do.

This isn't the lazy option either as i can assure you i've attempted to use the providers websites but none seem to clarify a great deal and all are pretty much a mess imo where schedules are concerned.

I'm initially thinking that a platinum True package and a CHT package would be the best option for me, any other ideas would be much appreciated though as i'm thinking you Guys wiill be in the know more than anyone else.

Thank you in advance.

Platinum True and CTH will give you access to most of the options you listed with the exception of a couple,Russian and Mexican I believe you won't get, can't even remember if the serie A is on True I think they are showing the French League 1instead.

Bundesliga also.

There are many options now to stream through the Internet also, usually much cheaper as well.

True Platinum and CTH will stand you a little over 3000 baht a month.

That can be reduced I believe if you opt for a Grammy GMM box which has a deal to show all the EPL via CTH.

Also this is until talks resume the last year of a 3 year deal for the current rights which CTH hold.

It may all change again next season.

Lovely, thanks for that Mate, appreciate it.

I'll look into that Grammy Box as i guess it will save at least one installation fee somewhere along the line if i've read you right.

I'll worry about next season, next season. ;)

I know True used to show Serie A a couple of years back but will have to check then if they still are.

Does anyone have any decent links to TV Schedules at all outside the actual providers websites as they seem to be pretty crap in truth ?

Yeah i use that quite a bit, they don't have a GMM schedule right now even though they recognise them as a provider and didn't have a True one a week or so back when i looked either.

I like the look of the Channels on that GMM Package though, that may be the way forward especially as it doubles up with the Prem and the CHT, thanks again.

As long as you have reasonable internet, I am now using a package which gets all the Astro SS channels, all the CTH sports channels, all the Sky and BT channels plus Setanta, At the Races/Racing UK, and a load of German/US/French channels that I havent had the chance to look at yet. New channels can be added on request I think as well. Send me a PM if you want to have a look at it.

Interesting to hear how MP & Silva are inserting themselves into negotiations.

In Indonesia, MP & Silva decided there was not enough competition between the television stations to generate a good price for English Premier League football.

So it created its own channels and sold them to every broadcaster to embed in their schedules. Then it sold its 50 per cent interest in the channels to its partner, beIN Sports, the Qatari sport network.

Bids for the next 3 years of BPL are to be made this month and announced asap, with betting on a syndicate offer from True, CTH and others for the rights to show

the football in this region. Don't think anyone company will bid alone as its too expensive, which CTH found out last time when it nearly bankrupted them.

I spoke with True last month and their helpful customer services agent told me that they were "hopeful" that they would Premier League rights for the next season. A syndicated bid would make a lot of sense!
