Can anyone recommend the best service to post letters to the UK - and what service to ask the UK recipient to use to post back to Thailand ?

Thank you

I use ordinary post via airmail, and if important docs enclosed send registered, not been let down in seven yrs.

In ascending order of security: ordinary airmail, registered mail (loŋˑtháˑbian - gives proof of posting, but not tracking), EMS (fast delivery - 2-3 working days, tracking as far as the airport). EMS is very expensive - 950 Baht for a single letter last time I used it.

For the return, "International Signed For" for anything of value - though Thai posties will sometimes leave a parcel without actually getting a signature.

I agree...

I use "Registered" from Thailand to the UK...it does give you tracking, even in the UK, and is considerably cheaper than EMS. Delivery about 7 - 10 days.

"International Signed For". gives you full tracking from UK to Thailand
