Comments sought on new charter

BANGKOK: -- AN ONLINE campaign organised by a group of civil society organisations is calling for Thai Internet users to comment about the new constitution on Sunday.

Prachamati.org, run by civil society organisations including Thaipublica and Prachatai, encourages netizens to comment about the new charter by posting on their social media accounts expressing what they do not wish to see in the new constitution.

The website has been working to collect people's opinions on the new constitution since the previous Constitution Drafting Committee publicised its first draft in April.

Attorney: Army officer recommends no jail time for Bergdahl

Thailand Post celebrates World Post Day with special stamps

BANGKOK, 11 October 2015 (NNT) - Thailand Post has joined in the celebration of World Post Day with the release of special stamps.

An event to mark the 56th World Post Day took place at Central Plaza Rama III with the collaboration of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization or UNESCO.

Thailand Post has produced a special set of stamps featuring ASEAN World Heritage recognition, entitled “UNESCO World Heritage Sites in South-East Asia 2015” to mark the occasion.

The stamps which are also intended to celebrate UNESCO’s 70th anniversary show pictures of 37 World Heritage sites across the Southeast Asian region, such as the Bang Chiang Archaeological Site in Thailand, Halong Bay in Vietnam and Angkor Wat in Cambodia.

PHUKET: A number of police officers have been hospitalized while a total of 21 vehicles were vandalized by angry rioters last night who had encircled the Thalang Police Station in retaliation for the death of two teenagers yesterday.
