UK Macron Blames Brexit for Channel Migrant Surge as UK-French Deal Faces Turmoil
You initially stated that the influx of unauthorized boat migrants was attributable to the UK bombing of their home nations. Despite it being explained to you that the UK was not bombing their home countries, you are fixating upon single group of boart migrants to support your blame the UK argument. No matter how much you wish to try and transform the unauthorized entry of economic migrants into the UK as a heroic struggle against the Taliban, you are still wrong. The demographics of the migrants does not support your emotional tale. The Taliban has been in official control of Afghanistan (the fall of Kabul) for almost 4 years (August 2021). It has been in de facto control of much of the country since 2019, approx. 6 years. Since 1/1/2025 to date, there have been approx. 5780 unauthorized migrants from Afghanistan who have arrived by boat. They are overwhelmingly male, unmarried, and aged between the ages of 18 and 25. So much for your claim of their seeking a better life for their children. If your tale of woe was plausible the migrants would have between the ages of 12 and 21, when the Taliban took control of Afghanistan. It is doubtful they were the directly involved in the war. They usually belong to one of the feuding tribal factions, which has nothing to do with the UK. These factions have been killing each other for centuries. Even in the Pashtun tribal areas, there are feuding clans and families. You claim my comments on the African migrants is rubbish. It is you who claimed the Africans were going to the UK because of the UK bombing of their nations. The UK has no involvement in the economic mess that is the source of the boat migrants. Eritrea, Sudan, Somalia and Egypt have not bombed by the UK. Nor has Cote d'Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Gambia, Chad and others. You are not convincing anyone with your blaming the victim, the UK. The boat crossers are economic migrants seeking to exploit the generosity of the UK. If they were legitimate refugees they could easily declare themselves as refugees as soon as they set foot in the EU. -
