Qualified Chiropodist/Podiatrist?

Featured Replies

I've got an ingrown toenail on my big toe. It's red and swollen, and seriously, seriously painful. I had a go myself at getting the nail out, but it looks like I'm gonna need a professional to do it for me (hopefully with local anesthetic!) Am I better off going to somewhere like Sriburin Hospital, or does anyone know of a properly qualified Chiropodist or Podiatrist in Chiang Rai?

They rarely take them off anymore, they cut a V notch in the nail and as it grows closed it pulls the sides out.

Local jab is all that's required, very simple op, I inquired a couple of years back but I wear closed shoes that rarely they seem to have nearly self corrected.

I'd try the hospital.

I am going thru ingrown ATM been taking amoxicillin for a week and infection gone

From what I can tell, there's just a tiny sliver that has grown sideways and is now jabbing into the flesh. That just needs to be removed, and hopefully it'll grow back out normally after that. I can't believe how much pain a tiny little sodding bit of nail can cause, when I knock it, it's excruciating! I'll take a trip to SriBurin tomorrow.
