Amphetamine-salt Alternatives?

Featured Replies

Hello! I just moved to Southern Thailand to teach English for the next 6 months. Back in the US I was prescribed 25mg of adderall, twice daily. I know that amphetamines are illegal in Thailand, so I started weening myself off of my medication before coming to better cope while I'm here. That being said, I'm struggling a bit more than I thought I would and I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for "natural remedies" for adult ADHD that I could potentially find in Thailand. Anything OTC/herbal supplements to help with concentration...I realize nothing will be as effective as adderall/ritalin, but anything more than nothing will help.

Thank you,

Taylor

Sorry that I don't know. There are a large number of Thai herbal remedies but information about them tends to be all in Thai.

Caffeine of course.

BTW adderall/ritalin are controlled substances in Thailand but not illegal if obtained from a doctor at a hospital. Not that I am encouraging you to go back on it.

I am pretty sure that as with most Asian countries, Adderall is not even available with a prescription.....
