October 3, 200619 yr Hi Guys Does anyone know if there's anywhere on Samui that shows English Championship football (DIv 1)on TV. My team are next on (Plymouth- OK Pause for Laughter!!!!) in 2 weeks time. Last year you could get it on UBC but they don't show it now. I've read it's on South African TV? Thanks for any help and i am awaiting the jokes! Cheers Dave
October 3, 200619 yr Why bother...it will be a 2-0 defeat...and that will ruin your night, best just stay in the bar and you might catch Reading playing!!!! Having said that the last team to beat Reading at home were, not Man United , Man City, Middlesborough, Sheffield Utd or Watford....but.......Plymouth Argyle. No really, I hope you find somewhere, but I could never catch any Championship games on TV last year, except they have a Championship roundup on a Tuesday every week on ESPN Good Luck (who are you playing anyway).....if its Leeds or Norwich the points are already in the bag. TP

TP Pauly, there's only one true hoops in England and they play in Shepherd's Bush. I give it a couple of years and we'll be back above you where we belong. C'mon you Rs!
October 4, 200619 yr They may well play in the place of my birth and formative years of my life, and yes I was a big fan when I was a kid...my Hero..Rodney Marsh! Best QPR side of all time was when Dave Sexton was manager. Phil Parkes Stan Bowles Dave Webb Frank McLintock Terry Venables Don Givens Dave Thomas Gerry Francis etc 3 of them were playing for England the year they finished runners -up to Liverpool in 1976... but that was 30 years ago....QPR have enjoyed a long time in the top flight..you cannot begrudge someone else from enjoying their spot in the limelight. You may very well be right in that there may come a day when we are both in the same division, It would be good to see Rangers back in the Top flight, but your current form suggests it wont be this year...and hey you sold your best player to Watford. Sorry all this is NOT THAI RELATED at all !!!!

Sorry all this is NOT THAI RELATED at all !!!! I don't begrudge you any success Pauly - just having a bit of footy banter!! I started supporting QPR in 75, the year before the great one you're talking about.Only 9 years old then. We did have a pretty good team under Venables around 10 years later when we lost to Spurs in the FA Cup final but not too much to shout about since then. To be honest, Reading were top notch last season - they blew everyone else in the Championship away. A fantastic feat really when you consider that usually there's a very tight finish to that division.

TP Yeh your probably right. We always seem to get stage fright on TV. I went to that Reading game when we beat you but we were very lucky. We only scored a couple minutes from the end. Good luck to you this season, i think you'll need it in the Premiership. You seem to have the best chance of staying up out of the 3 who went up. What time's that championship round up on ESPN? I haven't seen it yet. We've got Derby at home.
