Need to get a few taxis next week to and from the airport. Before I have always just hailed a cab level 2. I think I read somewhere it's cheaper to go downstairs where the Thai eating area and buses are? Is that the case? Should I ask for meter or get a fixed price? Approximately how much should it cost?

fastest way is go 4th floor and catch cab dropping people off. I always make sure meter is used bout 250 baht plus tolls

Go to level 4 departures.

Go through the turn styles and walk along and tell driver where to go.

99% will be very happy to put on the meter and get a ride back into BKK.

Pick the taxis who have just dropped someone off.

Not the ones parked waiting, ( mostly wont put on the meter )
