Taxi from Swampy to Sukhumvit

Featured Replies

Need to get a few taxis next week to and from the airport. Before I have always just hailed a cab level 2. I think I read somewhere it's cheaper to go downstairs where the Thai eating area and buses are? Is that the case? Should I ask for meter or get a fixed price? Approximately how much should it cost?

Go up to the departures....hop the turnstile and flag down a passing taxi to take you. DO NOT get into a parked and waiting taxi or anyone waving you over. Just go out, hop, walk down and flag down a taxi who just dropped someone off. 99% success rate.

Go to taxi area on 1st floor. Get ticket from machine. Walk to the taxi bay with your number marked next to it. Tell driver where you want to go.

It's pretty simple. Don't try and reinvent the wheel.

They should use the meter automatically. Depending on where on Sukhumvit you're going it should cost 200-300 baht.
