My Night In Pattaya

Featured Replies

After my post asking for information on some decent bars in pattaya I was given lots to choose from, I decided to take the advice from my fellow members and to try out some of the bars mentioned and what a night it turned out to be, it all started at shenanigans on second road, royal garden.

I arrived around 8.30pm. I had the steak and chips with all the trimmings, I asked for medium rare and that’s what I got very nice, chips and all the extras were a ok too. Treated myself to a pint of bitter then I thought why not and ordered a large brandy Remmy Martin if memory serves. As a side note the crusty bread rolls with butter are lovely I left thre about ten’ ish.

At this point I’d only drunk two beers in my hotel room, the pint of bitter and the brandy so I’m just a little tipsy little did I know what would become of the night… from there I took a walk along second road towards walking street I remember feel lucky to live here and how much I love the bustling city nights.

I then turned right and walked down pattaya land soi 2, I stopped in a bar called the Viking beach comber opposite palmers, an ok restaurant I had eaten at on my last stay here. I ordered a beer and then two girls came and said hello, ok I’m thinking here we go buy me drink, what your name. but no they wanted to play some games and already tipsy I said ok, the three of us sat playing connect four one of my favorites as a kid, for the next two hours, I was happily drinking away getting more and more sloshed forgetting all about the time. I must say this bar is ok I had a nice time and at no point did the girls want any drinks or make any comments about being bar fined, all in all a good place for a beer and to watch the world go by.

The next bar I went to was the Irish bar on walking street I sat at the bar having a pint when two younger lads strike up a conversation, I wont bore you with the details but after an hour of drinking they talked me into joining them at a “show” in a venue called angle witch, I had already said go go’s are not my thing and was assured this was not a go go just a show. Well I have mixed feelings on this place ok there were shows and I wasn’t approached by any girls and it was a lot nicer than my bkk experience but I’m sure I saw guys leaving with girls and buying them drinks. However it’s not for me to judge I had one beer with the lads then left. An ok bar maybe for one drink but doubt I’ll go there again.

Next stop was the blues factory after all the posts on the place I had to go there not sure what time I got there but it seemed to be in full swing I took a seat ordered a beer, I had two more enjoyed the music loads and had a nice time there but it was getting late and bedtime was calling, not sure why but I seemed to be starving so on the way out had a burger from this demark burger stall, and it was lovely maybe because of the booze but who cared at that time of night and full of beer, good value too, I would recommend them to anyone at the end of a hard night. All in all a great night was very happy.

As I said...

Many bars....If you dont like one go to another...eventually you will have a range of bars you like to drink at....Open beer bars..the girls will rarely hassle you.
