Best Place To Learn Thai?

Featured Replies

Have noticed a language school next to the Chalong roundabout on the Viset Rd. Can't remember it's name.

Has anyone used this school or has anyone heard anything about this place?

Thanks in advance

Now that we are on this topic, any impressions of the Patong Language School located at 5/19-20, Aroonsom Square

Had Patong Road, Patong, Kathu Phuket 83150

I'd have to think hiring some one on a one on one basis would work quite well too. Definitely wouldn't cost very much either.

Everybody knows it. The Thai language is a tonal language and if you did not learn it at birth, it is going to be very, very difficult to learn,..

But the best way, SCHOOl (at least the cheapest way,... :o ).

Is it the one on left side when you head for Kata you mean? Chalong "love centre" .....I mean learning centre.

I attended a course there 3-4 years ago. Yes, I learned the basic, and nice teacher's!

It's the one on the left as you're coming up from Rawaii towards the Chalong roundabout. Approx 200 yds possibly b4 the roundabout. The row of buildings with the animal clinic on.

I'll go in there when I'm back, only good way to find out I suppose.

Just wondered if anyone on this board had been there that's all.

I just spent 3 weeks studying there. Good enough place to start. Depends alot on the teacher you get and how hard you are willing to work. I think I'll try some of the other schools too so I have something to compare It to.

Does anyone know about annies language school?

I worked for Anna's language school last year, never got paid. Other people have had the same experience.

Be careful before handing over any money.

I believe the school is an affiliate of the Patong Language School? I have attended ILC on Patak Road towards Kata for two years. As mentioned it depends on the teacher and yourself. If the teachers are too young I would not recommend it, if you are a senior person.

Cheers.......kandt :o

Does anyone have some more news on Schools here in Phuket offering Thai language courses??

Is there a school in Phuket Town or nearby??

How good is the course at Patong Language School??

It seems that Thai courses here in Phuket are pretty slim compared to the huge range of courses in Bangkok on offer.

Any updated news anyone?? What's the latest??

Many thanks,

DNA
