With all the talk about dengue fever mosquitos , I did a little googling and came up with a few links from what looks like good sources , and some showing how to do it on clothes you already own ,

Has anyone treated clothes with these repellents ? and what was the outcome , how long did it last and did it smell badly of chemicals ?

I found this from USA EPA repellent-treated-clothing

http://www2.epa.gov/...reated-clothing

and how to apply it on your clothes

and another one

why would you want it on your clothes if they bite you on the skin?

There is line of clothing called Exofficio that is treated with insectshield - highly recommended and very effective.

i'm pretty sure , if you get exofficio or one of the other pre-treated clothes, you'll get more washings, i don't think i'd treat any clothes myself, other than my shoes.

i bought pretreated baseball hat and socks, should get 30-50 washings

the odor can also keep them off your skin

they bite though your clothes....

and you can also put it on mosquito netting

not through mine and i don't see why you should put it on mosquito netting
