Landed with SQ from Tokyo at 13:30. Taxi short way to a gate on Concourse D. Only one bridge attached to plane.

Bridge floor dirty.

Inside airport. Good signs leads to immigration (short walk from D gates). Many immigration booths mostly empty at this time.

SCB ATM and money exchange booth

Board indicates wihich carousel

Plenty of luggage carts

Bags arrived at 14:10

Out through customs

Very crowded very little signs

No indication on any maps or signs to the airport Novotel Hotel.

Was under the impression that you could walk 300m to Hotel in an underpass.

Asked AOT information desk, told to wait at gate 4 for a mini van.

Possible to walk ? yes go down one floor cross parking. I did but never again with luggage cart. is near impossible as you need to walk outside in the heat, wonder around construction areas. Not luggage cart friendly at all

If you need to got to parking : use the bridge on level 4 not the street level on level 1

Was told that the underpass will be ready from airport to 'train station underground' and from there to Hotel in aircon confort when ? I don't know but for now it is the mini van for all with bags.

You can kae it accross the parking but not with bags and not when raining as it is not covered.

Novotel itself is real nice and working perfectly.

Executive floor rooms are 1/2 the cst of the Amari's but still expensive at 4.700 baht a night + tax + service but including buffet breakfast & extensive coktail buffet and drinks for 2.

Standard rooms start at 3.400 baht

WiFi working but expensive at 780 baht for 24 hours

Apart from the lack of signs once outside of customs and the lack of space in the area between customs and the outside street, I thought is was good to be able to stay on one level from plane to customs.

immigration booths, luggage carousels and customs are really very close to each other.
