December 16, 201510 yr Costumes, for what? Every year one of the Local School Teachers (a near-relative) hits everybody up for donations so she can purchase costumes or tee-shirts for some special event. As these happen every year she always has a 'place' to order them up. Sometimes she takes a trip up to Mae Sai. Otherwise, they're special ordered. I've also had clothes or home fabrics done up by a local seamstress for relatively cheap. Really depends on what you want, and what your expectations are.
December 16, 201510 yr Author yesvits a school thing but they haven't mentioned anything about being able to order. its disney characters btw
December 16, 201510 yr One-off plays involving normally 'licensed' character costumes are definitely not something you're going to easily find, even in Mae Sai. Hello Kitty or a Thai Elephant are probably easier to find. AliExpress sells 'disney' and other character costumes. CAUTION: Be careful who you have in the room when you do ANY costume searches on the site as many 'adult' images will come up if you just do a naked search for "costumes". (You have been warned). A direct search on the AliExpress site for "Disney Costumes" give me a family friendly result, but not all the characters appeared as they may have left off the 'Disney' tag and only listed them under the character's name. The 'left pane' also lets you look at related categories and search subsections (Novelty, Mascot, Characters, etc) which have several thousands of entries. Also... this is a very old ThaiVisa topic thread that went into renting 'theme' and 'character' costumes, that may give you some ideas of where to look. December 17, 201510 yr A lot can be done with face makeup and select color clothing. Maybe better to go for 'caricatures' of the characters, rather than trying to go for the exact character. Google Image Search: Disney Character Face Paint Simplified DIY Disney Halloween Costumes for Kids
