8 suspected Pattaya drug dealers caught by Banglamung Police



PATTAYA: -- A press conference was held at Banglamung Police Station on Wednesday afternoon to confirm the arrest of 8 suspected drug dealers of which 4 of the suspects are thought to be leaders of major drug dealing networks in the area.

Police Major General Surapon, the Deputy Commissioner of Region 2 Police led the Press Conference and confirmed the arrests and seizure of significant quantities of class 1 drugs.

Khun Prichar aged 26 and Khun Grisadar aged 25 were arrested and are thought to be leaders of one of the gangs involved in the drug suppression operation. They were caught with 650 Yabba Tablets.

In the second gang, Khun Chaiyawoot aged 23 and Khun Sasitorn aged 28, one of the most wanted drug dealers in Pattaya, were arrested along with Khun Pornchai aged 24 and Khun Wisanoo aged 21.

A total of 30g of Crystal Meth were seized along with 91 motorbikes which are thought to have been purchased with the proceeds of drug money. A further 100 motorbikes, which have been rented out to private individuals are also set to be seized.

In the Thai version I can only find 6 culprits described.

I could be wrong but it does not look like coincidence.

The Thai version writes that bankbooks from 8 banks have been found
