Hmmmm........It seems that short cut route did not work out as planned

Figured he could just plow right through and go around the traffic jam in front of him....lol

Cheers

I've heard that Thais hate to walk even a few metres to their destination (e.g. 7-Eleven), but this one took that a bit too far (or too close?)

It takes an extraordinary degree of talent (or mindlessness) to drive into a 7/11. How many of you have driven into a 7/11? I mean literally? Wonder how much this nincompoop is going to be on the hook for. My guess is that most policies in Thailand do not cover this level of negligence. It is a miracle nobody was killed or badly injured. Do you want to take wagers that he was either speaking on his cell, or texting, when this most extraordinary of events took place?

I require tank traps for all 7/11 !!!

When I watch the hools racing down the village road to reach the T section 80 m ahead in time I sometimes think about the sturdiness of our wall.

A drunken motorcycle artist recently rammed into the front garden of the neighbor ploughing though some papaya trees.

Once again, I'd bet almost anything that the driver had one foot on the gas while trying to apply the brake with the other. In an emergency the brain (!) can get a bit confused, and consequently the driver will usually apply pressure to both pedals--the brake as well as the gas. Invariably the gas pedal puts up a good fight and doesn't give up easily.

The much better method would be to use only one foot for both the gas and the brake, moving the foot from one pedal to the other. In this case, if the driver had his foot on the brake only, he would have stopped before driving completely into the store.

But I'm a farang, I know, and my way of driving is not the Thai way. They're not about to change just because I think that the way I was taught--which is probably also the way most of you on the forum were taught--is safer.

Actually none of the above, the driver went into 7/11 leaving the car running with his youngster in the car, the wee bugger somehow managed to knock the truck into gear and this was the result, but it seems Coconuts failed to mention this.....but if they had bothered to fact check they would have found out!! They also failed to mention the specific location. There's rather more than one 7-11 in the whole of Rayong Province, you know!

I assume the wee bugger also mashed the throttle pedal as well cause there is no way it did all that on just an idling engine.

Thank you. Some men will do or say anything to avoid taking responsibility for the destruction they leave in their wake. Blaming this on your kid is pretty low. I don't buy it at all. Edited by spidermike007
