Security Camera's - Stilshots

Featured Replies

Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good still shot type of camera. I have wireless internet at home, and would like a camera to take picture of who ever knocks at my front door (infra red sensor) and send it to the net ( home or not home ).

If it goes directly to my e-mail, then even if they destroy the cam, the pic is still safe. Preferably something which i can conceal as well

Thx,

Needs a PC connected ? I saw some special cams in the shops which directly connect to your wifi ( no pc) and they cost about 20k baht.

Skip, someone in the trade (an expat) posted about cctv some time ago, maybe up to a year ago.

Might be some links if you do a search using "cctv".

Sorry to be vague........ good luck. :o

i think i have seen some in fortune town but remember a wirless camera will still need some kind of power source (battery or plug in)

Here the solution:

Supervision Cam

It's freeware and works really nice!

It has even a motion detection, so you dont need any infrared sensors and the pic are sent to the web or even as Email or SMS with pic or only with a notification.

Hi skippy,

Browse the listings on following site:

What you'd need is a camera with built in webserver, so you don't need a PC turned on. Just hook it up to your router and it should be able to send out the e-mail alerts.

If you'd like to view the images from anywhere you'd either need a fixed IP adress, or a pc running Dyndns or something like that if your IP is dynamic

I guess following camera might fill your need:
