Laptop buying: REVIEW of shopping in Bangkok

You mean Fortune Town, presumably?

If you're complaining about inaccurate information elsewhere, you night at least get the name of the mall right.

Really so soon in a thread and the ah&$)(s come out?

Because chipping into a month-old conversation just to have a pop at someone is just so much classier.

Glad you like the laptop, by the way.

Any comments on this situation, please. I, too did a bunch of DD for the past couple of weeks. Looking to switch from my iPad Air to a hybrid with Win OS. The model I settled on is the HP Spectre x2 2-in-1 12" Touch-Screen Laptop - Wi-Fi + 4G

Living in dreamland, I used BestBuy and EBay to get an idea of the comparative prices. I know, these have nothing to do with Thailand. But, in my example, HP Thailand 'offers' this model at 49,900 THB (which converts to US$ 1,400, approx.). The same model is priced at a regular $799 reduced to $599 at Best Buy.

Would Singapore offer prices more in line with international online shopping prices. I realise, there is still import duty to add. Surely, not 100% ?

The Singapore price is the same as the Thai price.
