Connect remotely from where to where? Your Thailand 3BB connection to somewhere else, or connect to a machine/device on a 3BB connection?

So not even TeamView works?

As there are no more new IPv4 blocks available to ISPs, most of them are converting new and old subscribers over to CG-NAT (proxied) connection and delivering Private Reserved IP addresses whose addresses must then go though a private gateway to gain access to the public Internet.

If the router is given a working WAN (public-side) IP in any of these ranges then you're being CG-NATed:

10.0.0.0 – 10.255.255.255
100.64.0.0 – 100.127.255.255
172.16.0.0 – 172.31.255.255

CG-NAT is an additional layer that doesn't respond to local requests to opening incoming ports to allow spontaneous communications/connections to a Router/LAN or devices hanging on that LAN.

If this is the case, call your ISP and request your account be provisioned to use an actual public IP address. Most are willing to comply, You'll find many posts here on ThaiVisa where the issue was discovered and the OP was able to have their subscription reverted back to a public IP from a CG-NAT reserved IP address. You'll also find a few posts were OPs had to repeat the process after 6 months, as this may be when they sweep through the subscriber accounts and pull back on the public IPv4 addresses their DHCP Pool servers are provisioned to deliver.

CG-NAT shouldn't affect the use of an outside server as an intermediary for remote cameras or remote PC software like TeamViewer, like putting your foot in-the-door to prevent the door from closing behind you when you go out for a smoke, and later let all your friends back in through the locked door.

it's back today. Very weird. Computer or internet was not rebooted. Now i can use windows remote, anydesk and teamviewer.

It had to be 3bb blocking certain protocols or ports, i have a friend on AIS that could connect to the same machines i couldnt last night.

bearpolar, i had the same issue last night with Teamviewer, Never happened before. Now it seems it's fine again. Apart from that, the connection to the US was very very bad.

I still look to improve my internet. But i stay in a condo and 3bb don't offer FTTH. Must i really move into a house to get a decent line? On the other hand, i prefer to to switch to another ISP since they ask now 1 Year payment up in front.
