dean008 Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 I am heading out there soon and have read a few articles that Brits no longer require a visa for Vietnam and this has been the fact since the middle of last year. Can anyone confirm 100% no visa is required and no pre travel visa planning is needed, is it simply turn up and your admitted (a bit like the Thai visa waiver). Thanks
stoneyboy Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 (edited) 15 days isn't it I believe effect from July 1st 2015 Any longer you will still need a visa. Edited January 24, 2016 by stoneyboy

stoneyboy Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 From the FCO web site. https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/vietnam/entry-requirements
slipperylobster Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 lucky stiffs.....getting that 15 to 25 dollar freebee.
jacky54 Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 seems fair as we never joined in the war against them 1
swampdonkey Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Yes 15 days. It will be extended to 30 days later this year.
mikebell Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 I went in November - free visa for Brits. We had the most amazing 2 week holiday in Hanoi/Halong/Kho Phukok/HCMC. The Vietnamese could not do enough for us. A high standard of English. Thailand will soon finish behind Vietnam in the race for Euro money.
