Hi,

Was wondering if I anyone had tried this? Was thing of using this as a 2nd "TV" (limited viewing)? No use for Over-the-Air TV anyway.

I thought in theory this can be done since my Laptop uses HDMI port to connect to a HDMI monitor in the office, though there are no speakers for the monitor.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Get a set of computer speakers to plug into the headphone jack on your laptop.

Actually I also want to.use Chromecast as the hdmi input. Then I can toggle between my Android phone n the set top box
