“Sex Education Van” visits Soi 6.

On Wednesday Night, the “Sex Education Van” came to Pattaya from Bangkok. It decided to base itself in the middle of Soi 6 in Central Pattaya which, for those that have never been there before is full of bars which cater for those who are interested in casual sexual encounters which puts patrons and workers in the position of high risk when it comes to transmission of sexually transmitted diseases.

The “Sex Education Van” is sponsored by the Population and Community Development Association and its main aim is to spread the word when it comes to the practice of safe sex. Free Condoms were distributed and leaflets explaining the dangers of unprotected sex were distributed to the bar workers who will often have sex with many partners in the course of a days work.

The van will visit the street on a regular basis and can also be found in the Nana Plaza area in Bangkok which is also considered as an area where there is a potential for the spread of STD’s.
